Free or the Flea?
This one comes from my hypnotherapy trainer, Alistair Horscroft. A good one worth passing on to you...
A flea can jump 100 times its body length.
Place it in a jar with a lid, and it keeps hitting that lid until it stops trying.
Take the lid off and only days later it won’t attempt to jump any higher - it’s conditioned to believe that limit is real.
Its offspring, astonishingly, will do the same, inheriting that invisible barrier.
Consider this: How many of your own limits are nothing more than conditioning?
How many times have you decided, based on past experience or others' expectations, that you can’t go higher?
Most of us are living inside the limits society, family, or our own minds have set. But, those limits are illusions. If you want to reach the life you know you’re meant for, you’ve got to break out. You have to know you can jump higher.
Forget who you’ve been told you are. Redefine yourself on your own terms and become who you want.
Free or the flea?
